Opening Day

The opening day of baseball is finally here and I can't wait to watch my Cubbies defend their Central Division title - hopefully, they'll go farther in the playoffs this year! I think my favorite player is going to be Kosuke Fukudome - he was 3 for 3 with a HR and 2B in his first game in the Majors. Unfortunately, the bullpen blew the game - some things never change. I can't wait to go to my first Cubs game at Wrigley (out of the womb) on Memorial Day against the Dodgers - maybe Fukudome or Derrek Lee will hit a home run for me!

Visitors!

My grandma Julie came to visit for a week. We had so much fun...she can really make me light up! I wish she was around more often. She spent alot of time with me this week since mommy broke her car and daddy had to take mommy to all her doctor appointments. Then my mom and both my grandma's took me to the long beach aquarium...there was lots of fish (starfish, seahorses, and stingrays were my faves) there were even birds and I learned the history of surfing.

Now one of my mom's best friends Danielle is in town. I LOVE her, I really just cant get enough...I didnt even mind when she fed me lemon and spilled water on me....

Grandma Julie came to visit!

My Grandma Julie came to visit me all the way from Wisconsin. She says its beautiful here...they have something called snow where she lives.

Happy Half Birthday to me...

Good Morning! I'm 6 months old today!

I went to visit Dr Jim today...
I am 27 inches and 19.1 pounds...both exactly in the 75th percentile.

After measuring me and checking me out, I got my shots. Last time I didn't cry at all. This time I cried for my second one. Luckily both mom and dad were there for me!

mmmmm....look at the half birthday cake mommy made for me!

WHAT? Why would you make ME a cake if I cant eat it?!?

overall it was a good day....makes me excited for the real birthday!

Playdate at the park

I haven't updated the blog much this week. Mainly because my mom hasn't taken any good pics of me lately... Today was pretty fun, we went to a picnic at a park with some friends. Our mommy group has grown into 15 mommies and babies today we met at Fort Lots O Fun in Hermosa.

Here I am with my good friend Alexandra again...we have so much fun together! We are only 3 days apart, but I'm WAY bigger than her and can sit up all by myself. She can roll all over the place though...I should learn how to do that soon!

I played in Grandma's back yard today and went for a hike on the cliffs in PV. I'm a busy guy!

Jenna's Baptism

I went to my friend Jenna's baptism this weekend. It was lots of fun. After the baptism they had a fun party at Jenna's house.

Solid Food

My mom gave me avocado today for lunch. Solid food is totally overrated, seriously, I'd rather eat my hand or foot. My daddy said I'll change my mind soon and I will be begging for things called sushi and filet mignon...we'll see!

almost sitting...

My mom keeps propping me up to sitting and then trying to take my picture before I tumble over. I dont really understand whats so special about sitting up. Its kinda funny. She sits me up and I'll sit there for a few seconds, and then you should see her panic as I topple over just as she is reaching for the camera. I guess you could say I'm almost sitting up...give me another couple days!

I just don't understand what the point of having all these fancy seats if grownups just want you to sit on your own?

Mommy and Me

Mommy and I go to a Mommy and me group every Wednesday. Well, almost every week. It will be more often now that Mommy is mobile again. This week she decided to have it at our house. There were 12 of my friends and their moms here...it was lots of fun! Check us all out! Thats alot of babies in one small room!



Hopefully some of my friends will send my mommy more pictures, somehow my mommy only got this one!

Jumping and Drooling

For those of you that don't have a jumparoo...you are really missing out. I could spend my whole day jumping up and down to the music. Seriously, if mommy would let me, I would spend the whole day in here.

After jumping and drooling for awhile, mom made me take a break. Can you tell by that look in my eye I'm ready to head back into the jumparoo??
