Claudia's Birthday!

I got to play with Jenna while we were there...

Claudia slept through most of her party, but she was up at the end to say goodbye!

I'm well dressed and walking

I'm a BIG kid now!

I had my one year check-up this morning with Dr. Jim.
I am 30 3/4 inches tall (80%) I weigh 24 lbs 5 oz (75%) !

busy, busy birthday

I was already awake when my mom came in singing happy birthday...

We then tried on my new USC jersey from Uncle Noah's Family

TOUCHDOWN!!

I dont know why mom doesn't want me playing with this...

Every Saturday my daddy and I go to swim class, but this week mommy came with us!

This evening before dinner I learned that I could put goldfish BACK IN the bag!

I spent the evening taking them out and putting them in...taking them out and putting them in...

I had a great birthday and the Cubs even clinched the division for me!

Early birthday gift!

My first birthday gift arrived yesterday from my grandma in Wisconsin.

I was initially excited by the prospect of ripping apart the wrapping paper.

It lost its excitement very quickly.

I do love the gifts though grandma...thanks!

Date Night

I went out for dinner with Claudia at Casa Pulido...

Talk about some yummy food (beans and tortilla's)!

I mean really yummy food!

So yummy I even tried to share...

Claudia wasnt all that interested in dinner

She just wanted to kiss me, because I'm so cute!

whatever, it was a fun night!

Almost a year...

A quick note from Ian's mom-
A year ago I was past my due date, waiting to meet little Ian James. It is amazing how much my life has changed this year. I had no idea how much I would learn about patience and love or any of the other amazing changes he would bring to my life. In front of my eyes Ian is turning from a tiny baby to a little boy and we are so excited about the year to come!

Peace offering

My mom and my grandma Julie don't agree on politics at all.
After a big fight about the election and a promise not to speak so passionately to each other about the topic anymore, my grandma sent a bit of a peace offering.
I love it!

Eye Doctor

I went to the eye doctor today. I had lots of fun in the waiting room. I played with mommy, then I met a new friend Emma, she is two. She kept patting my head and saying "you're so silly, baby"

Then it was time to go into Dr. Simon. She was really nice and had some cool toys. Then she put some drops in my eyes and let me go out to the waiting room and play a little longer. This time I played with daddy!

When we went back in to see Dr. Simon she told my parents I need to get a 'procedure' done soon to clear up my tear ducts.
Its not a real serious surgery but they are going to "put me under" for it.

Before long I will be walking. Tonight I took six steps before falling down several times and I stood up by myself while playing.
